Senior Catheter Product and Process Development Engineer

We are seeking an experienced and talented, hands-on catheter engineer with industry proven product and process development accomplishments. The engineer in this high visibility position will play a key role developing robust designs and processes for next generation catheter systems. He or she will work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment with seasoned colleagues who are creating state-of-the art medical devices sold in the US and internationally. The ambitious individual in the position will have ample opportunity for mentoring and professional growth.

This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills and detailed knowledge of the catheter build process.

Qualifications: 

  • BS or MS in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Plastics, or Biomedical Engineering.
  • 3 – 10 years of successful experience in the product/process development and commercialization of complex catheters or similar disposable devices. Senior engineers are encouraged to apply; salary is commensurate with relevant skills and experience.
  • Strong knowledge of catheter fabrication processes, including bonding and adhesives.
  • Experience developing complex endoscopic, vascular or cardiac catheter systems is a plus.
  • 3D CAD modeling such as SolidWorks is desired.
  • Ability to write clear reports, specifications, proposals and effectively discuss them with other members of a multi-disciplinary team, including R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, Clinical, and Marketing.
  • Working knowledge of regulatory requirements for medical devices.
  • Basic understanding of statistics for design applications.
  • Exposure to the development of RF ablation systems or electroporation systems is a plus.
